    A scarf and an abaya bought from two suppliers will not reliably match, however carefully you compare the colour names. Bought from one, they can.

  2. Raises the basket

    Your customer needs a scarf anyway. Selling the pair is the cheapest revenue increase available to a modest-wear shop.

Georgette grips a pin better than chiffon because of its texture, which is the single most useful thing to know when a customer complains that a scarf slides.

Why matching black is harder than it sounds

Fabric is dyed in batches. Two batches of the same colour, from the same mill, to the same specification, can come out slightly different. In the trade that batch is called a dye lot.

Nobody notices on a single garment. Everybody notices when a scarf sits next to an abaya and one of them is very slightly warmer than the other.

What we do about it

When your scarves are cut alongside your abayas, they come from the same lot, so the pair matches.

Where a repeat order falls on a new lot, we tell you before production starts rather than after you have unpacked it. You can then decide whether to wait, or to keep the new lot together as its own set.

Buying scarves separately

If you buy hijabs from a specialist and abayas from us, you will get a keener price per scarf and you will not be able to guarantee a match. That is a real trade and it is worth making deliberately rather than by accident.

The three complaints customers actually make

Hijab returns cluster around the same three issues, and all three are fabric choices rather than manufacturing faults.

It slips

Smooth fabrics slide against hair and against pins. A grainier weave like georgette grips far better, which is why it outsells chiffon for daily wear in most shops.

It is see-through

Single-layer chiffon is sheer by construction and no finish changes that. Sell it for draping and layering, and keep an opaque option on the shelf beside it.

It goes bobbly

Cheap jersey pills where a bag strap or a coat collar rubs. It is the most common complaint on jersey and it is decided entirely by the quality of the knit you buy.

Questions buyers ask

Do your hijabs match the colour of your abayas?

Yes, when they are cut together. Scarves and abayas sharing a colour name come from the same dye lot, which is the only reliable way to guarantee a match.

What is a dye lot and why does it matter?

One batch of fabric dyed together. Two batches of the same colour can differ slightly. On a scarf worn against an abaya, that difference is visible.

What hijab fabrics do you offer?

Chiffon, jersey, georgette and modal. Each suits a different customer, and the table on this page sets out the differences.

Which hijab fabric does not slip when pinned?

Georgette. Its grainier surface grips far better than smooth chiffon, which is why it is the everyday favourite in most shops.

Is a chiffon hijab see-through?

In a single layer, yes. That is how chiffon is built, and no finish makes it opaque. Sell it for draping and stock something else for coverage.

What is the difference between chiffon and georgette?

Chiffon is smoother, lighter and more sheer. Georgette has a finer grain, holds a pin better and drapes with slightly more weight.

Why do jersey hijabs go bobbly after washing?

Cheap jersey pills where something rubs it, usually a bag strap. It is decided by the quality of the knit, so it is worth paying a little more.

What is modal?

A very soft, matte fabric made from beech wood pulp. It is comfortable and cool against the skin and costs more per metre than jersey.

What is the minimum order for hijabs?

20 pieces across the whole order with a AED 2,000 minimum value, counted together with any abayas in the same order.

Can I add hijabs to an abaya order without a separate minimum?

Yes. Everything counts toward one order minimum, which is the whole point of buying both from one company.

Should I buy hijabs from you or from a hijab specialist?

If price per scarf is what matters, a specialist will beat us. If matching your abayas matters, buy them here. We would rather you knew that before you ordered.

Do you make shaylas as well as wrap hijabs?

Yes. A shayla is the long rectangular scarf draped and pinned at the shoulder, and it is cut from the same fabrics.

Can I get hijabs with my own label?

Yes, with your woven or printed labels and your packaging, the same as any other product.

How fast can you ship hijabs?

They ship with the abayas they match, on the same 12 to 18 working day made-to-order timing, plus courier transit.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Yes. Sample orders have no piece minimum, only a AED 2,000 order value.

What sizes do hijabs come in?

Tell us the dimensions you sell. Wrap and shayla lengths vary a lot by market, and we make to the size your customers expect rather than to one default.
