Shipping & landed cost

The price per piece is the easy number. This page is the rest of it — freight, duty, clearance and who is responsible for what — so you can work out your real cost before you commit.

How we quote

Every quote separates three things that most suppliers blur together: the goods, the freight, and the duty and taxes in your country. You get a figure for each.

We quote FOB Dubai by default. We can quote CIF to your port, or DDP to your door where our forwarder supports it — say which you want and we will price it that way.

FOB DubaiProduction, export clearance, delivery to the port or courierFreight, insurance, import duty, clearanceYou have your own forwarder or a rate you like

DDP your doorEverything, including duty and clearanceNothing on arrivalSmall courier orders where you want one number

What a carton weighs

Freight is priced on whichever is greater: actual weight or volumetric weight. For our satin line, a sealed carton of 6 pieces runs about 4.5 kg actual and about 6 kg volumetric, so couriers charge on the volumetric figure.

Order sizeCartonsApprox. chargeable weightUsual mode
30 pcs5~30 kgCourier (DHL / FedEx / Aramex)
60 pcs10~60 kgCourier or air freight
120 pcs20~120 kgAir freight
300 pcs +50 +~300 kg +Sea LCL

Confirm before relying on these. Carton weights vary by fabric and by how a design is folded. We weigh your actual cartons before quoting freight, and the figure on your quote is the one that counts.

Duty in your country

Abayas normally classify under HS 6211.43(other garments, women’s, of man-made fibres). Your broker will confirm the code that applies to your declaration — it can shift with fabric composition.

Only the Canadian rate below is confirmed. Every other figure is indicative and awaiting confirmation from our customs broker. Do not build your pricing on them — ask us and we will get the current rate for your destination in writing.

If your country is not listed, ask. We would rather say “we will find out” than publish a number you plan a season around.

A worked example

A 60-piece mixed order of the Lunar satin set, shipped by courier to the UK, using our published tier price and an indicative freight band:

LineAmountNote
GoodsAED 9,48060 pcs at AED 158, the 60-piece tier
FreightAED 1,300 – 1,900~60 kg chargeable, courier, indicative
DutyTo be confirmedAssessed on goods plus freight
Import VATTo be confirmedReclaimable if you are registered
Landed, per pieceFrom ~AED 180Before duty and VAT

Against a typical shelf price of AED 420, that still leaves room. Run your own numbers on the product page — every product has a margin calculator you can put your own retail price into.

Documents you get

Every shipment leaves with the paperwork your broker will ask for:

  • Commercial invoice, with HS codes and unit values
  • Packing list, carton by carton, with weights and dimensions
  • Certificate of origin on request — useful where a preferential rate applies
  • Airway bill or bill of lading, with tracking
  • Photographs of your packed cartons before they leave us
